Studios and Laboratories
Studios and Laboratories
The Department of Cartoon and Animation provides access to filming, sound, stop-motion, drawing, and computer-based production facilities for practical courses and student projects. These facilities are used for various stages of traditional and digital animation production.
Filming Studio
The Filming Studio is used for practical work involving camera operation, framing, lighting arrangements, and set preparation. The studio also accommodates live-action filming for short films, video productions, and animation projects.
Sound Studio
The Sound Studio is used for voice-over recording, dialogue recording, sound effects, and audio editing. Work carried out in this studio includes preparing soundtracks for animation projects, synchronizing sound with images, and basic sound design.
Stop-Motion Workshop
The Stop-Motion Workshop is used for animation projects based on photographing objects and characters frame by frame. Activities include puppet and object animation, set design, movement planning, and assembling individual frames into animated sequences.
Drawing Workshop
The Drawing Workshop is used for figure drawing, perspective, composition, sketching, and character design. Other activities include storyboard preparation, scene sketching, and producing drawings for traditional animation.
Lecturer Şebnem KÖSEOĞLU Mac Laboratory
The Mac Laboratory is used for computer-based work involving digital drawing, image editing, two-dimensional animation, motion graphics, and video editing. The laboratory is used during the production and editing stages of digital design and animation projects.
Computer Laboratory
The Computer Laboratory is used for practical work in two- and three-dimensional design, modeling, animation, and digital visual production. Students use the laboratory for computer-based drawing, scene creation, animation, and organizing project files.
